Car Show - Picnic at Hanging Rock

This is a huge show of over 2,000 display cars plus another 2,500 spectators’ cars. Set around the magnificent Hanging Rock, a spectacular setting for the start of the car enthusiasts New Year. Come along with your Motafrenz, tour the show & the spectacle and enjoy a happy picnic together.

WHEN: Sunday, February 12

TIME: 9:00am (so that we can avoid long queues at the Gate), otherwise come later and find us in the Spectators’ Carpark. Motafrenz will not be displaying at this show.

MEET: BP Service Station 1km north from the Calder Park Raceway, Melway 3 A4

ROAD CONDITIONS: Sealed. Freeway & highway

SUITS CARS: Suitable for modern vehicles.

DESTINATION: Hanging Rock, enter from Gate C, Straw’s Lane. Melway X909, G9

DIRECTIONS: Take Calder Fwy and exit onto the Woodend-Romsey (W-R) Road. Head west. At the Coach Rd intersection you veer right, staying on the W-R Road. Then turn left onto Straw’s Lane. Gate C will be on your left.

COST: General Admission & Parking $20 per car or truck, $5 motorcycles & pedestrians, children free

BOOKING: Advised if you want to park with Motafrenz, by February 11

BRING: e-tag, Melway, sunscreen, hat, picnic lunch (assume no BBQs at this time of year), or food sales on-site.
